                Police-community Partnership

Our school conducted a program related to drugs issues in Nepal for the students of grade 10 with the police community. There were two officer who described about the different form and level of drugs that is taken by our country's youth.

They told that the drugs like ganja was legal in Nepal as they had some good medicinal properties which can cure various harmful diseases. It was also an economic backbone for the people of that time. That time Nepal was rich and was in high profit due to the farm of ganja and other drugs.Nepal was also called hub of ganja as it was legal to buy and sell in public places. But the people started to take these drugs in heavy doses which lead them to death or caused other severe diseases. So, government of Nepal  decided to ban farming of ganja on 2033 BS.They also implement various other rules, regulation and punishment for the criminal who supply and intake ganja and other addictive substances illegally. The officer also showed other inorganic drugs like cocaine, brown sugar etc and its effect on our body. They showed some before and after pictures of people who took drugs. They also showed us some video related with it and told us to aware and send people to drug rehabilitation center for their good and normal life in future.
